A Perfect Day

Today Ethan and I went to my parents house and spent the day with the family. Ethan just loves going to see "Alllll" and "Shisha" and "Papa" and "Raura." He seemed to have alot of fun running around and even got to play outside for a little while. After playing we went home and I cooked dinner for all of us! Very exciting, no one died from food poisoning!!!! Then Jeremys mom and John Crawford came over to visit. Ethan did not like sharing his toys with his cousin. He screamed repeatedly in his face and grabbed any toy John touched. After they left Jeremy and I took Ethan outside and played ball in the yard with him for what felt like forever. Of course Ethan also wanted to play with his bubble mower! Then it was bathtime and eventually bedtime. It was the perfect family day for us! Oh yeah, we even made a playdate with Katie and Courtney for next week!!!! Sorry I have no pictures, I forgot I was blogging again!!! ;-)

Finally-An Update!!!!!

So a couple of months have passed by since my last update. I apparently am not real good at the blogging thing!!! I cant even remember what all has happened since my last update but here goes my best try (ps things will not be in order!!!)
My most tragic and heartbreaking news is my best friend since I was 14, Missy, left in early June to go to boot camp in Missouri. I miss her so terribly much, way more than I had anticipated. Sometimes I cant even talk about her without getting teary eyed or choking on my words. I have cried numerous times since she has left-sometimes woken up from a dead sleep to do it. I really do feel lost.......Here is a pic of all of us right before she left:

Another thing that has happened is I moved back in with Jeremy officially. Things have been really great-I am even learning how to cook dinner so we can be "normal!" Ethan loves when he comes home from work and can be heard screaming "Daaaaad" the minute he hears the door open. Here is Ethan helping his Daaaad cut the grass and hanging on his back at Dennys:

Jeremy and I took Ethan to the beach for the first time. He absolutely loved the water and was in the ocean laughing immediately. He also enjoyed the pool. We let him run up and down the beach til his little hearts content. He stopped at most of the blondes and waved and flirted. He was so so super cute in this unfamiliar environment. Definately have to plan another trip!!!

One of the coolest things I have done was go to Tennessee with Trisha for the CMA music festival. I am so in love with Nashville. It is a gorgeous amazing place with the friendliest people. We saw the best concerts ever-Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Josh Gracin, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Alan Jackson, Montgomery Gentry, Trace Adkins, Rodney Atkins, etc., just to name a few. It was extremely fun and I can not wait to go back next year!!

Okay I think those are the high points. Other things have happened some I have pics for, others I dont-Trisha graduated high school, Ethan got staff infection, I joined the gym and got a personal trainer (been doing good going too!!!), Ethan got sick and had almost a 103 fever which turned into a ruptured ear drum (the pic with barney is when he was sick), Ethan completed water babies and has finally gotten used to taking a bath, we continue to go to the library, and of course have play dates with Xander, Aries, Carson, Ella, and Joshua. We also went to the lake for the 4th of July then went to Greenville with everyone to watch fireworks. Summer has just been fun for us-Chuck E. Cheese, playdates, playing at Grandmas and James's house. Maybe my next post wont be so jumbled and late!!!!

One last thing..............I AM GOING TO SEE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK IN OCTOBER!!!!! EXCITEMENT EXCITEMENT EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!!!!

Ferras/Spring Fling

In the tradition of Trisha and I being concert junkies, tonight we went to the Spartanburg Spring Fling then to Barnett Park to see Ferras in concert. Apparently he was on American Idol at some point, and he does have a song on the radio ("Hollywoods Not America"). Trisha and I did NOT know that he would be a solo act, sitting down the entire time strumming on his keyboard, without a band behind him. There were NOT many people there, so few that they practically made us get up from our seats and stand in front of the stage. So few people that at the end of the show, EVERYONE got to meet him and take pictures. We didnt stay at Spring Fling much, walked around briefly with the family. At the end of the night, I had to pee desperately so we stopped into Wild Wings. We took a pic of Trish at the bathroom. Of course we had to take a picture, yes, boredom at its finest!!! Tomorrow is the duck derby!!!! Yeahhhhhh!!!

Dear Heather....

Just posting a quick blog for you to read since I know you are bored to tears in that hospital!!! And I'm also gonna send you a Moose Kiss!!!!:

What Another Fun Day!!

Thursdays are by far my favorite day!!! As usual, we started the day off by going to the library. Today we brought Ashleys son, Xander, for the fun!! There were alot of kids there today, more than usual. Ethan continued to not want to sit with mommy (he's too cool for that!) but instead walked around (throwing his paci several times, note to self-NO MORE PACI AT THE LIBRARY!!!). When the children were singing "Old MacDonald" Mrs. Nancy handed out animals for the kids to hold. I was so excited when Ethan volunteered himself!!! He ran right up to her pointing his finger, then he even stood up front with all the other kids!!! He also stayed up front while he kids were jingling the bells (thank goodness that only lasts a short period of time!) Love love love the library!!

Then I was the most super fabulous mama ever when I took the kids to Cleveland Park!!!

Then we all met Ashley and then Jeremy for lunch. We were going to eat at Wades, but the line was out the door so we ended up at Hearts in Boiling Springs because we had never eaten there before. I can say my food was good, but how hard is it to mess up a BLT??? After that it was time for some "me maintenance." On the way to the mall, Ethan fell asleep so I put him in the stroller (still asleep) and got my haircut (Ignore my orange face-the lighting was really bad). What a great day!
